Constructed using an advanced 45mm multi-layer insulated design, the Thermawood Surrey incorporates an XPS insulated foam core, structural LVL core with Meranti lipping, plywood outer layers and an integrated aluminium reinforcement sheet. This engineered construction provides improved rigidity and resistance to movement and warping compared with a traditional timber external door.
With a U-value of approximately 1.32–1.36 W/m²K, the Surrey offers excellent thermal efficiency, helping to reduce heat loss through the entrance and improve the overall energy performance of the property.
The tall central glazed panel features obscure toughened safety glass, allowing daylight to enter the hallway while maintaining privacy. Low-E coated glass and Argon gas filling further improve the insulating performance of the glazed unit.
For added installation flexibility, the Thermawood Surrey can be trimmed by up to 25mm on all edges, making it particularly suitable for replacement doors, renovation projects and properties with less conventional opening sizes.
